Cornered Men are 2 Australians and 1 American (now living in in Kanagawa) and 1 Japanese guy (who spent 2 years playing music in Hollywood). Expect plenty of guitar solos, grooves and some hard and funky drum beats. Most of our original songs are our true tales of life in Japan and the characters we've met here.

Cornered Men was formed after the March 11, 2011 earthquake by a group of Americans and Aussies living in Japan as a way to make people happy and maintain our friendship. Many of our original songs are about our experiences in Japan. Our music is a diverse, punchy mix of rock, funk and blues and has been played on radio in Japan and Canada. 1 of our guitarists is a graduate of the famed Berklee College of Music in Boston and our Japanese guitarist spent 2 years in Hollywood studying at the prestigious Musician's Institute. We have performed at festivals and live house’s in Tokyo and Kanagawa. Last summer we participated in a music festival series organised by the Sotetsu Group. More than 150 bands applied to perform and Cornered Men were 1 of the 50 bands to be selected to perform. After our performance, Cornered Men placed 5th in the customers "thumbs up” rankings. Our Youtube channel has received more than 24 000 views. We plan to record an album of original material and our goal is become a big band… a very big band… bigger than Mount Fuji…. and even bigger than Fujiwara Norika!
