Dive was a band from the city of Bath in England based around the core of Andi Brooks (vocals) and Oliver St. John (guitar/backing vocals).
When the guitarist of Brooks' previous band, Assassins of Youth, left Bath in 1995, he asked St. John to take his place. The duo, who had previously worked together in the Bath band X-Machina, retired to the studio and quickly wrote and recorded the demos contained on this album. Despite managerial interest, the band was unable to find a stable lineup and folded within the year.
